Youth Program
Since its very beginning, BiniVista has run a so-called "Youth Program," where young people (typically aged 18-23) spend time at the winery helping with daily tasks. Since the start, more than 50 young people have participated in this program – primarily from Denmark, but also from Sweden, Germany, and the USA. Most participants are young people taking a gap year after high school, but the program is open to everyone.
There are no specific requirements, but the stay usually lasts between 2 and 12 months. The greatest need is from March to November, during which we typically have up to 8 young people living at the farm. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and an interest in one or more of the following areas: agriculture, wine, food, social media, photography, cycling, or events in general.
The participants live on the farm, where we have three small apartments, and they become a natural part of the daily life at the winery.

Facts about the Youth Program:
-
Accommodation: Housing is provided on-site.
-
Stipend: The pay is EUR 500/month, which is paid out in Denmark.
-
Working Hours: Hours are not fixed, but experience shows they average around 30-35 hours per week. Flexibility is crucial, as events can take place in the evenings and on weekends, and some periods are busier than others.
-
Events: From April to October, a large part of our daily life consists of events, including tours, tastings, and serving homemade food.
-
Tasks: To the extent you desire, you can help develop our concepts within wine, events, cycling, art, food, and social media. However, your primary responsibility is the daily upkeep of the winery, which includes:
-
Ensuring the winery is always ready to receive guests, including cleaning and shopping.
-
Assisting in the wine cellar with cleaning, bottling, etc.
-
Helping maintain the outdoor areas, including terraces and the winery grounds.
-
Harvest work, including the harvest itself and processing the grapes.
-
Vineyard work – ongoing maintenance of our vines.

First Youth Team of 2022
For the first time in 2022, BiniVista opened its doors to six young people who have been given the opportunity to live and work at our beautiful vineyard. BiniVista aims to create a unique youth program where participants have ample opportunity to acquire knowledge within wine, gastronomy, art, cycling, events, and social media.
Back in May, 2022 we searched for six adventurous young people, and by August, the entire team was gathered under the Mallorcan sun. Things have moved fast since their arrival; they have already tried their hand at harvesting and sorting our grapes, hosted wine tastings for our many guests, and developed exciting new tapas dishes.
Naturally, we want you to meet our BiniVista Youth team and get to know them better. Below, you can read about their motivation for applying and their expectations for the program.

Otto Hyldahl Kirkeby
"Hi, my name is Otto Hyldahl Kirkeby. After graduating from Rungsted Gymnasium this summer, I was looking for a job that could expand my wine horizons. I am incredibly interested in wine and want to learn as much as possible, which is why I thought BiniVista would be perfect for me. Here at the estate, I have the chance to soak up knowledge from incredibly skilled and passionate people like Søren, Marie, and our winemakers. I look forward to participating in the various processes involved in winemaking—such as harvesting, fermentation, barrel aging, and blending. If everything goes as planned, I hope this job can open doors so I can continue working with my passion."

Ida Færgemann Bernsdorf
"My name is Ida, I am 24, and I’m from Odense. I have always dreamt of working in a warm country surrounded by passionate people. BiniVista is a vineyard filled with colleagues whose passion for their field is palpable. My task is to assist with our events and wine tastings. Additionally, I am responsible for the daily run of our youth program, and I ensure the winery is always ready to welcome our fantastic guests and members."

Victoria Rying
"Hi, my name is Victoria Rying. This summer, I graduated from Rungsted Gymnasium and was looking for a job and new experiences during my gap year. Being part of Team BiniVista was the optimal opportunity for me! Besides being part of an extraordinary and fantastic wine project in Mallorca, I could also explore some of my personal interests. I have always had a great passion for food and experimenting in the kitchen. At the farm, I have the opportunity to help create dishes that complement our wine. I expect to help create experiences where wine and food complement each other. Besides my interest in food, I am also passionate about social media, which I worked with during my studies. I think it’s awesome to be able to document the projects we are working on here at the estate."

Marius Peter Zeihlund
"I am 17 years old and come from Roskilde. I applied to be part of the BiniVista Youth team because I wanted to get away from Denmark, hoping for a fresh start at BiniVista where I could focus on photography and art, which are my great interests."

Aksel Bech Skot-Hansen
"My name is Aksel Bech, I am 22 years old and come from Hjortshøj, north of Aarhus. I graduated from Marselisborg Gymnasium in the summer of 2021 and now work at Bodega BiniVista. Alongside school, I have cycled at an elite level and have previously ridden for the Danish national youth team and Team Coloquick back in Denmark."

Ida Due Bitz
"Hi, my name is Ida. This summer, I completed my bachelor's degree at Copenhagen Business School. After three intense years of studying, I wanted to try something new and have a more active daily life. During my bachelor's, I took courses in 'Tourism & Hospitality,' so I thought BiniVista was the obvious choice for me, as I could apply my knowledge from my studies while enjoying a magical year filled with sun, warmth, and new acquaintances. I have previously worked a lot with social media content and hosting events. I look forward to helping create wonderful experiences for our guests at BiniVista through events and social media, as these are things I am passionate about."

We are thrilled to have assembled this team and look forward to having them at BiniVista for the coming year. There will be regular updates from our BV Youth team, so please follow along in our newsletters or via Instagram @binivista_youth.
