365 days a year, we focus on producing sublime wines, but right from the beginning, BiniVista has been built around 4 activities, which in addition to the wine itself, are cycling, art and food. We are therefore very proud to present our Easter exhibition, for the fourth year in a row, where we launch both this year's Artwork and our new Art Wine. This year, we have been lucky to have had the Danish artist Poppykalas visit during the 2025 harvest and this has resulted in a series of pictures that are inspired by our beautiful vineyard and surroundings.

BiniVista and art

Søren has been collecting art for many years and when he first "discovered" Poppykalas a few years ago, it was love at first sight, and luckily Thilde agreed to be part of BiniVista's art world.

Poppykalas (Thilde Maria Haukohl Kristensen)

Thilde Maria Haukohl Kristensen (born 1979), better known by her stage name Poppykalas, is a renowned Danish visual artist, florist and author. She has made her mark internationally with her unique, maximalist and hyper-sensual approach to flowers as an artistic medium.

Her paintings are soft, pastose, and smooth enough to eat. Both the technique and the motif are inspired by Thilde's grandmother, and while flower painting has traditionally been considered "women's work" (and therefore less important), these works invite us to embrace the feminine, sensitive and soft with an erect forehead.

She works in various media, such as oil painting, fresh, dried, Thilde's work has previously been exhibited at SMK, Copenhagen Contemporary, Chart Art Fair, Tivoli, Thorvaldsens Museum, Rademakers, Gallery Martin Asbæk, Galerie Wolfsen and the North Atlantic Lighthouse in Hanstholm, Thy. In 2022, she was behind the set design and costumes for the performance The Secret Garden at the Glyptotek. Thilde has also written the book "Poppykalas and the magical flowers", which was published by Gyldendal. Thilde also works as a creative consultant for LEGO Botanicals and has created floral installations for Gucci, Vogue, Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss and others.

From Vesterbro to Thy and Møn

Although Poppykalas was closely linked to Copenhagen (Vesterbro) for many years, Thilde has in recent years sought out nature. She is based in Klitmøller, Thy, and has also acquired a farm on Møn. This connection to wild nature is reflected in her recent paintings and in her book, where the cycle of nature and man's embedding in nature is absolutely essential.

Inspired by Mallorca's nature and wine

Thilde stayed at the winery last year during the harvest. The stay in Mallorca has been a crucial starting point for the exhibition. The raw landscape of the island, the rhythm of the vineyards, the depth of the sea and the special Mediterranean light have made their mark on the colour scheme and energy of the works.

We are not facing nature, we are nature, and like the roots of the vines, we are also connected to each other in a larger cycle. That is why she has chosen to call the exhibition " Symbiosis."

Thilde states that: "Bininivista's wines are deep and filled with soul and energy."

This is the Artwork of the Year, which is also the label of the Art Wine of the Year, and in addition to being able to buy the art wine, it will again be possible to buy the artwork as a poster.

You can look forward to it - it will be a fantastic exhibition and a cornucopia for all the senses.

We look forward to seeing you

Kent and Søren
