Introducing: Our First Winemakers-Wine

We are incredibly proud to finally unveil our Winemakers-Wine, the result of a passionate partnership with Peter Work. Peter has been producing wines in California for two decades and has achieved worldwide recognition, especially for his phenomenal Pinot Noir wines.

Peter Work's Full Commitment to the 2023 Harvest

Contact with Peter was established back in 2021 during the COVID pandemic, and the foundation for this exciting collaboration was quickly laid. When the epidemic finally subsided, Peter—complete with his cowboy hat and boots—traveled to Mallorca to personally participate in the 2023 harvest.

Peter had already fallen in love with a GSM blend. He spent the entire harvest period in Mallorca and personally handled most of the winemaking process to ensure his personal signature on the wine.

A Tribute to "Old-School" Traditions

Despite BiniVista’s modern winery, Peter opted for a deliberately "old-school" approach. This included:

  • Spontaneous fermentation in small, uncooled vats.
  • Manual pigeage (punching down the cap) with his feet.
  • Aging for 18 months in primarily 300-liter French oak barrels (in contrast to our usual 500-liter barrels and maximum 12 months of aging).

The Result: Two Fantastic and Exclusive Wines

Peter has regularly visited the vineyard to "tend to" his wines. In April this year, we jointly finalized the details for the ultimate blend. The process resulted in two distinct and fantastic wines, as the barrels naturally separated into two perfect matches.

However, one wine stood out significantly. We therefore chose to bottle this unique "older brother" exclusively in magnum bottles, emphasizing its special status.

As we continue strengthening our new Winemaker Program at BiniVista, this launch marks an important milestone. Collaborations like the one with Peter Work are at the heart of what we aim to build: long-term partnerships with exceptional winemakers who bring their craft, vision, and personality into every bottle.

This is also a moment to recognize those who already form part of the BiniVista Membership. Our members are always the first to experience these truly special moments—new releases, exclusive tastings, and intimate encounters with the winemakers themselves. Your continued support is what makes projects of this scale and depth possible.

Premium Members: As part of your membership, you naturally attend the event free of charge—one of the many benefits designed to bring you closer to the people and stories behind our wines.
