2 fantastic events!
As you know, we organised 2 winemakers dinners in Copenhagen in connection with the presentation of our very first "Winemakers Wine" made in collaboration with Peter Work.
The events were held at the restaurant/jazz club Epicurus, and both evenings ended with live jazz with the magnificent Camilla Sledge.

Due to a large turnout, we ended up having to invite to both the 17th and 18th of December. Positive problems!
On Thursday, both Peter and his wife Rebecca entertained as well as Marie and Søren, whereas on Friday the participants had to "make do" with Peter and Søren.

Comparison of wines...
In addition to lovely food and a lot of good stories told by Peter, Marie and Søren, not least about the unique process around the collaboration and creation of the wines, 4 BiniVista wines and 2 Peter Work wines (Ampelos Cellars) were tasted. It was both exciting and educational to taste BiniVista's Viognier/Sauvignon Blanc against Peter's pure Viognier and compare a Pinot Noir from Mallorca against a Pinot Noir from Sta. Rita Hills, California. As the highlight of the evening, we of course tasted the 2 wines Peter made with us – Beta Librae (β-Librae) and Alpha Librae (α-Librae).

The story behind the name and label
Both wines are named after the constellation that was brightest in the sky on the days we harvested the grapes, namely Libra (Librae) - and the 2 brightest stars in Libra are called Beta and Alpha Librae respectively..

We were all very excited to taste the wines, and especially Peter, as it was the first time he tasted the wines since April 2025 when we blended the wines together in Mallorca.
But what an experience! They are truly fantastic wines that cleverly combine both Peter's soul and BiniVista's unique style.

A few words about Beta Librae...
An enticing, exquisitely sophisticated nose – dark, deep and with layered texture. A harmonious potpourri of blackberries, dark plum and ripe wild strawberries, notes of leather, graphite and a refined touch of honeysuckle. It really is a nose you can immerse yourself in. When it opens after a while in the glass, notes of blood orange and sweet licorice also appear.
In the mouth, it shows itself with authority: fruity, expansive and effortlessly harmonious. Juicy, but refined and remarkably complex. The dark fruit is intertwined with mineral undertones, all bound together by fine but dense tannins that add weight and texture. It continues to open, layer upon layer, and the aftertaste never seems to end – leaving you wanting another sip.

A few words about Alpha Librae...
A deep and sensual scent flows from the glass - blackberries and dark plums draped in dried rose petals and lavender, mixed with raw licorice. Underneath, a deep umami-packed note of well-hung meat and a cool touch of menthol emerges.
In the mouth, it shows depth and juiciness in equal measure; a clean and virile core of sweet ripe fruit lifted by lively freshness from the ripe but insistent acidity. Dark berries are intertwined with pomegranate and ripe currants. The tannins are refined but firm and ensure both backbone and balance. Complex and full-bodied, but also silky smooth - dangerously easy to love!

An atmospheric evening
Based on the mood of the participants (who were primarily dear members) and the subsequent feedback, there was also very high satisfaction among the participants.
So, all in all, some cozy and fantastic evenings in Copenhagen and there is no doubt that we will make more similar events in the future. So, if any of you dear members have relations with a good restaurant that could be suited to hold BiniVista events at, please let us know so we can look further into making more beautiful evenings with you in Denmark.

Buying the wines
You can still order both wines on the website (ORDER) as well as the special package containing a box of Alpha and a magnum of Beta – order here: ORDER
